Metropolitan Ballroom, located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, offers aspiring dancers an opportunity to experience the joys and challenges of dance lessons in an elegant yet relaxed social atmosphere. On a 3,000 square foot Danish maple dance floor, with the guidance of accomplished instructors, students can learn a number of International and American Style Ballroom dances, including Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Tango, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Quick Step, Shag, and Salsa!! Unlike many other dance studios in Charlotte, Metropolitan Ballroom offers a variety of flexible options for anyone interested in learning to dance. Join in the fun of group classes! Are you looking for something new to try? Have you always wanted to try Ballroom dancing?
Join us every Sunday at 3pm for a FREE beginner group class. Various styles will be covered, with everything from Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, ChaCha, and Swing. Your instructor will cover one Standard dance and one Latin dance. Each week is different. We welcome you to come more than once. This class is open to the public. No partner is necessary. We’ll see you on the dance floor!

Ballroom Rentals
The Metropolitan Ballroom cherishes the opportunity to host any type of event, including wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bar and bat mitzvahs, sweet sixteen birthdays, Quinceañeras, corporate meetings, dance and social club celebrations, and wedding anniversaries.
With a 3,000 square foot dance floor, a “WOW” sound system, a contemporary bar and lounge for your guests to mingle, ample free parking, and a prep kitchen capable of handling all of your needs, we have the right components to make any event the talk of the town. We also offer special show performances by our highly accomplished dance instructors.
The Metropolitan Ballroom is the only dance studio in the Queen City with a North Carolina beer and wine license, and we can also secure a temporary liquor license for any event that will require one.
To top it all off, we are centrally located in Charlotte at the intersection of Providence Road (NC-16) and Sharon Amity Road. At this location, we are bordered by Myers Park in the north, Cotswold Mall in the east, South Park Mall to the west and Piper Glen to the south.
